We have a full slate of games this week, which means extra injuries to run through. Check out the start/sit picks, the Week 11 rankings, some waiver wire sleepers, and even this fun little contest we have going on.

Then start scrolling through the injury updates below and make sure your roster decisions include this info.

fantasy-football-week-11-injury-updates-antonio-gatesAntonio Gates is looking more and more doubtful for Monday night with each passing day. At this point, my expectation is that he won’t play, but it’s Gates, so you have to give him the benefit of the doubt. And if he does play, you play him. So…try to grab Randy McMichael if you can. That way you’ll have flexibility up until kickoff Monday. McMichael caught two TD passes in the Chargers’ last game filling in for Gates, so he’s no slouch.

Ryan Mathews has been dealing with an ankle injury and has not yet practiced this week, though he said he expects to play. Still, Mathews’ team plays Monday night and he has not proven he’s worth waiting around for if there’s a risk he could be out. Mike Tolbert is a solid option against Denver’s D and Darren Sproles will see an increased role if Mathews is indeed out.

Malcom Floyd is back practicing for the Chargers and expected to play and be the #1 WR option for Philip Rivers. Teammate Legedu Naanee was limited Thursday but is also expected to play Monday.

In Washington, Ryan Torain still is not practicing and likely will not play Sunday against the Titans. However, keep your eye on this, as Torain’s status for Sunday greatly affects Keiland Williams‘ value. Clinton Portis is similarly doubtful to play at this point, as he continues to feel pain in his groin.

Joseph Addai is back practicing on a limited basis for the Colts. His status for Week 11 is still day-to-day. Donald Brown and Javarris James are both healthy. My expectation would be that even if Addai plays he’ll split carries with these two. Add in the fact that New England is a team you beat through the air, and the Colts’ running back quagmire is one to stay away from.

Austin Collie was originally expected to play in Week 11, and he still might, but there are conflicting reports regarding what he did Saturday. Here it says he practiced in full on Thursday and here it says he was absent. The Colts need him, so he’ll play if ready, but coming back from concussions isl always tricky. Check to see what he does Friday.

Jacob Tamme owners rejoice! He was not on the Thursday injury report. Looks like he’s safe to play.

Jahvid Best missed practice on Thursday as he continues to deal with his troublesome toe. See if he practices Friday, but he’ll likely be a GTD on Sunday and hasn’t been all that effective even when playing,  and Dallas isn’t terrible against the run. His normal backup Kevin Smith has already been declared out for Week 11. Maurice Morris will get the start in Week 11 if Best can’t go, and he’ll have decent value in 22-27 range simply because the Detroit offense does create scoring opportunities and should be able to move the ball against the Dallas.

For the first week in a long time, there is no legitimate concern about Percy Harvin missing Sunday’s game. Sure, his ankle is still sore, and he’s not practicing in full, but that’s par for the course for Harvin. With nothing new to concern us, he appears to safe to play in Week 11.

Harvin’s teammate Bernard Berrian is expected to play this week despite missing last week’s game. Of course, he was expected to play last week and was a late scratch due to a mysterious hamstring. Trust him at your own risk, and only in very, very deep leagues.

fantasy-football-week-11-injury-updates-sidney-riceAs for Sidney Rice, we’ll know more Saturday. Minnesota will either activate him from the PUP list and he’ll play this week or sometime after, or he’ll be out for the year. Right now there is no telling, so don’t count on Rice yet. And if you own him but Vincent Jackson is available in your league, make that swap right now.

Todd Heap practiced in full Thursday. He should be ready to go for Week 11.

Jimmy Clausen is out with a concussion and Brian St. Pierre will be the starting quarterback for the Panthers. If this information is relevant to you, you’re season is probably in the tank.

In other Carolina news, their RB situation is a mess. DeAngelo Williams is on injured reserve and neither Jonathan Stewart nor Tyrell Sutton is starting. Looks like Mike Goodson is a safe bet for 20+ touches against a Baltimore defense that is no longer an immovable object.

Andre Johnson did not practice Wednesday, but that’s become the norm. His ankle is tweaked, but he’s playing through it. The question is will he have his QB. It appears the answer is yes, despite Matt Schaub having to be hospitalized Tuesday with a bursa sac issue in his knee. Keep an eye on this. AJ’s value will take a hit if Schaub can’t go. Dan Orlovsky would be the backup. Yes, this guy.

Owen Daniels remains day-to-day and isn’t a great option even if he plays with Houston facing the Jets.

Jerricho Cotchery is hoping he’ll be able to play, but he’ll be questionable. He’s missed practice with a slight tear in his groin.

Mark Sanchez is on the injury report and was hobbled last week against Cleveland. No worries. He’ll be out there against Houston’s terrible pass D.

CJ Spiller is not expected to play Sunday, and even if he does, he hasn’t done anything so far this year to warrant your trust.

Cedric Benson did not practice Wednesday, but he was back Thursday and is expected to play against Buffalo’s awful run D in Week 11.

Chad Ochocinco has been dealing with continued shoulder pain. He played through it in Week 11 but there are doubts about his ability to do it again. Keep an eye on this up until kickoff. His QB Carson Palmer continues to deal with injuries as well, but he should play in Week 11.

Darrius Heyward-Bey actually made himself relevant with a good outing a few weeks ago. He is expected to play against the Steelers.

Nnamdi Asomugha is trying to work back from an ankle injury and will likely be a GTD. This is important for Mike Wallace owners, as Wallace’s value increases if he doesn’t have to deal with a healthy Nnamdi.

Zach Miller is still hobbled with a foot injury but is expected to play in Week 11.

Hines Ward left last week’s game with a concussion, but he’ll play in Week 11.

For those of you in return leagues, Joshua Cribbs missed practice on Wednesday and is dealing with three dislocated toes. He’ll probably be a GTD.

Mike Sims-Walker is dealing with an ankle injury and will likely be questionable for Sunday’s game against Cleveland. If he can’t go, the value of Mike Thomas and Marcedes Lewis probably increases a bit.

Calvin Johnson is on the injury report, but like his namesake Andre, he always plays anyway. He’ll be out there in Week 11 for what could be a very fruitful matchup against Dallas.

Donald Driver is officially questionable for Week 11, but he has been practicing on a limited basis and looks like he’ll probably play Sunday.

Andrew Quarless has been practicing for the Packers and is expected to play in Week 11 against Minnesota.

Matt Hasselbeck‘s wrist is feeling better and he’ll play Sunday at New Orleans. Only use him in very deep leagues though; the Saints have given up only 6 TDs this year.

Jeremy Shockey continues to miss practices as he deals with a rib injury. There really is no good reason to be counting on him right now, healthy or not.

Pierre Thomas is finally out there practicing again, on a limited basis at least. His status for Week 11 still looks doubtful, but keep your eye on him moving forward.

Teammate Reggie Bush has also been practicing on a limited basis, but he is expected to play against Seattle. Just track this Sunday to make sure. Similarly, the banged up Chris Ivory is expected to play in Week 11. He is probably the safest of all the Saints backs, but Bush’s explosiveness gives him the upside assuming he plays.

Kenny Britt isn’t likely to play in Week 11, but he is starting to exhibit more mobility. If you have him, hang onto for him now as it looks like he could return from his injury quicker than was originally expected.

LaRod Stephens-Howling, a return yardage league stalwart but not much else, isn’t practicing so far this week.

Beanie Wells has been practicing on a limited basis this week and is expected to play on Sunday. He is expected to get a decent amount of work, assuming he doesn’t get injured on his first carry. The value of Wells and Tim Hightower at this point has to be considered about even.

Dexter McCluster probably won’t play in Week 11.

Joe Nedney is injured and won’t play in Week 11 for the 49ers.

Fred Taylor has been limited in practice this week. Keep him on your bench until we start hearing that Taylor will legitimately threaten The Lawfirm and Danny Woodhead for carries.

Steve Smith (the fantasy-relevant Giants version) will miss this week and probably next with a torn pectoral muscle.

LeSean McCoy missed practice Wednesday but was back on Thursday. He’s expected to get a full load in Week 11. As I mentioned in this week’s waiver wire column, Jerome Harrison isn’t a bad deep sleeper option if something happens to McCoy.
